Overview

The Technical Implementation Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive deployment and implementation of IT services, with a focus on networking and security products. This role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to scope, configure, and customize IT services to meet specific business needs. The Technical Implementation Specialist serves as the primary technical contact during service onboarding and plays a key role in ensuring successful project execution and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • IT Service Deployment: Lead the deployment and implementation of IT services, including networking and security products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and service capabilities. 
  • Project Scoping: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution. 
  • Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize IT services to meet specific customer needs within defined service limits. 
  • Customer Communication: Serve as the primary technical contact during service onboarding, providing expert guidance, support, and ongoing consultation. 
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of deployed services to ensure they meet functionality, performance, and security standards. 
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes, configurations, and customer interactions for future reference and compliance. 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Extensive Networking and Security Experience: Proficient in deploying and configuring networking technologies and security products, with a deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs. 
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex IT service deployments from scoping through to completion. 
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex issues during IT service deployments. 
  • Customer-Focused Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with a focus on networking and security. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT service deployment, including experience with networking and security products. 
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
