Overview

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for delivering cost-effective sourcing and service optimization solutions for provider products, both at the conclusion of provider contracts and upon request. This role plays a key part in supporting customer success by identifying savings opportunities and ensuring service alignment. The analyst is also expected to cultivate strong relationships with customers, vendors, partners, and internal teams, consistently upholding One Source’s values and demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Service Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions align with customer needs and expectations.
  • Analyze customer service portfolios and spending patterns to identify opportunities for cost optimization and service improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver price quotes and comparative solutions to illustrate current versus proposed communication expenses.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in vendor pricing models, products, services, and infrastructure across service providers.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and product developments.
  • Leverage product and market knowledge to recommend the most advantageous services available to customers in their respective markets.
  • Evaluate the full lifecycle impact of all recommendations— from implementation through billing—on both the customer and One Source.
  • Communicate with vendors and providers to verify and maintain accurate customer inventory and contract records.
  • Support major projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
  • Ensure timely acknowledgment and progress updates on assigned tasks, in accordance with established internal timelines.
  • Provide clear explanations and solution details to internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Assist the Customer Success team in presenting quotes and solution recommendations to clients.
  • Respond promptly to customer pricing inquiries in alignment with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Generate and submit provider documentation required to activate quoted services, following established processes.
  • Complete assigned duties within standard business hours, limiting overtime to special circumstances approved by the Director.
  • Adhere to all One Source information security policies and standards in the handling and use of data and systems.
  • Ensure that all data and system access is authorized and compliant with internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Strong ability to read and interpret documents related to telecommunications services, including invoices, terms and conditions, accounting reports, and contractual agreements.
  • Proficient in preparing routine reports and written correspondence, as well as presenting information clearly and effectively to both customers and internal teams.
  • Solid mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and ratios; comfortable applying basic algebraic concepts.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Capable of interpreting technical instructions and navigating both abstract and practical challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with database or project management software is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; one to two years of relevant experience, training, or a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
